My name is Steve Berry and I live in Austin, TX with my wife and multiple dogs. I’ve been working on the internet since 1997. I like large engineering problems, user experience design and information architecture. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Information and working full time for American City Business Journals as a technologist.
I build and race vintage volvos at track days and autocross and I’m a mechanic for a vintage race team. I brew enormous amounts of delicious beer which I drink and share with friends.
I like long walks on the beach and people who are curious or funny.

Hi Steve,
It’s great to see you on the blogosphere – very interesting & complete article about phone/mobile applications.
Last year I wrote about this application:
RaceDataAX, iPhone Application for Autocross

I think you ought to put more about your 1800 Volvo Coupe for all to see in your ‘About’ section.
Take care & we’ll see you out there!

Steve,
Thanks for your blog on the smart grid industry.
It added things I did and didnt know but importantly your spreadsheet and structural concept to ‘analyzing’ the subject has been useful in making my own research presentations more clear.
All the best to y’all, to Bevo and hope to visit again one day.
I hope the Pecan Street project goes well too.
